The first round of the AUS Ltd 2018 Pole Climbing Championships took place over three days from Friday 15th to Sunday 17th June at the Royal Three Counties show.

The Royal Three Counties encompasing 298 acres with a range of permanent buildings, a woodland and a lake, is host to a number of events over the year

The Royal Three Counties Show has welcomed, and continues to welcome, members of the Royal Family.  This year Her Majesty, The Queen has entered two of her own horses into Equine classes.

Over the three days of the championship, around 60 competitors took up the challenge of reaching the top of the 25m, pole in the fastest time possible, competing for a great selection of prizes, including a cash fund for the overall winners, all donated by AUS.

Well done to all who took part, with particlar congratulations to Dan Wheelan who climbed in 9.87 seconds – it was a great long weekend and we fully expect to be back in 2019.
